PODCAST: What Wyoming Team Shows Up in Akron?
LARAMIE- We dusted off the microphones and went to work.
For the first time in more than five months, Cody Tucker and Jared Newland are back at it, banging out the first Roaring Repeater Podcast of the 2025 season.
There was plenty to chat about, too.
You can find the new episode right HERE.

We dove into Wyoming's offseason, expectations and even started a new segment, "The Dumbest Thing I Read This Week." Let's hope you didn't make the final cut.
All kidding aside, we spent a majority of this one discussing what went wrong last year and how anything will be different in Year 2 of the Jay Sawvel Era.
What am I keeping an eye on?
Can the Cowboys' pass rush get to the quarterback more than 15 times this fall? Will this new-look defense create turnovers? Desman Hearns, a transfer from Southern Illinois, is the starter at nickel. The rest of the secondary, one Sawvel said badly missed the mark in 2024, is comprised of players who were on the roster last year. Is that a good thing?
Can this offense live up to expectations? Yes, I said offense.
That's new territory around these parts, but Wyoming does return its leading passer (Kaden Anderson), rusher (Sam Scott), wide receiver (Jaylen Sargent) and tight end (John Michael Gyllenborg. The interior three on the line -- Wes King (from left guard to right), Jack Walsh and Caden Barnett -- return. So does Chris Durr Jr., Evan Svoboda, Clay Nanke, Bricen Brantley, Jake Wilson, Justin Erb, Isaac Shoenfeld and others.
This unit should be rock solid. They better be if this program wants to put a disappointing 3-9 campaign even further in the rear view and prove that was the exception, not the rule.
