Wyoming Single-Game Football Tickets Now on Sale

LARAMIE -- The home portion of the Jay Sawvel era at Wyoming kicks off Sept. 7 when Idaho pays a visit to War Memorial Stadium.

In fact, single-game tickets are now on sale for all six Pokes' games this fall:

* Idaho - Sept. 7 - 2:30 p.m. - Tickets starting at $30-plus

* BYU - Sept. 14 - 7 p.m. - Tickets starting at $65-plus

* Air Force - Sept. 28 - 6 p.m. - Tickets starting at $45-plus

* San Diego State - Oct. 12 - 1:30 p.m. - Tickets starting at $30-plus

* Utah State - Oct. 26 - 5 p.m. - Tickets starting at $30-plus

* Boise State - Nov. 23 - 5 p.m. - Tickets starting at $25-plus

The school's website already says "not many left" when it comes to the Idaho opener. BYU, Wyoming's old WAC rival, will soon feature similar words. The Cowboys also host Mountain West nemesis Air Force, Utah State and Boise State. San Diego State will also head to the high plains for the first time since the 2016 conference title tilt.

Interesting tidbits:

* Wyoming will face five new head coaches this fall, including Bronco Mendenhall (New Mexico), Nate Dreiling (Utah State), Ken Niumatalolo (San Jose State), Sean Lewis (San Diego State) and Spencer Danielson (Boise State).

* The Cowboys went 7-0 inside War Memorial Stadium last season and set an all-time attendance record in the process.

* Air Force hasn't beaten the Cowboys in Laramie since 2012. The Falcons hold a slim 31-27-3 lead in the overall series.

* BYU hasn't paid a visit to the high plains since 2009. That a forgettable 52-0 beatdown courtesy of the visitors. The Cougars hold a 46-30-3 advantage in the series.

* San Diego State and Wyoming have met 38 times on a football field. Each team has won 19 of those.

* The Cowboys and Aggies play for the traveling trophy, Jim Bridger's Rifle. Utah State hasn't hoisted that hardware since 2019. Wyoming has won two straight in the series.

* Wyoming has lost just once to the Vandals in eight meetings. That came all the way back in 1921, the first time these two hooked up.

* Boise State is on a seven-game win streak against the Cowboys. The Broncos are 17-1 overall against Wyoming. The lone win for the Pokes came back in 2016. The last time Boise State came to Laramie, back in 2022, the temperature at kickoff was 24 degrees, not counting wind chill. According to the school, that was the 10th-coldest game at UW since 1970. The coldest game came back in 2003 against New Mexico when it was nine degrees at kickoff.
