Wyoming Track & Field Represents at CU Invitational

BOULDER, Colo., -- The Cowboys and Cowgirls of the Wyoming Track and Field team hit Potts Track from the campus of CU on Friday for the CU Invitational and ended the day with a few new top-ten marks to and some top-2 finishes on the day to bring back to Laramie.

Daniel Reynolds continues his season of personal bests in the Hammer Throw. Reynolds went 221-3 in the event to move up the Wyoming all-time top ten list to No. 2 all time and move onto the Mountain West Conference all-time list at No. 4. Reynolds ranks 16th in the NCAA this season after his performance today.

Abigail Whitman ran her first collegiate Steeplechase and came in at No. 9 on the Wyoming all-time top ten list with her first place finish from Boulder. Cam Burkett, Elayna Chafee and Cam Burkett all turned in second place finishes in their respective events on the day.

Incoming weather caused the originally scheduled two-day meet to move to a full slate of action on Friday. The Cowboys and Cowgirls will head to California next weekend for three days of action.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert Gagliardi, Jared Newland, Ryan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
