7220sports.com Kickoff Show: Bring on Brigham Young
LARAMIE -- The final stats are deceiving.
Idaho averaged just 3.3 yards per carry. It also converted just 3-of-13 third-down conversions. Jack Wagner, despite starting a white-hot 8-for-8 through the air, completed just 12 total passes. The back-up signal caller accounted for just 101 passing yards.
The visitors also committed 11 penalties and scored just 17 points.
How badly did Wyoming blow out the Vandals?
They didn't.
Evan Svoboda only connected on 10-of-24 throws in the 17-13 loss. He was credited with a fumble, though the ball was snapped right over the 6-foot-5 quarterback. That almost immediately led to points.
The Cowboys were again undisciplined, drawing nine flags for 70 yards.

These were mostly bonehead mistakes, too, like a pair of false starts, one coming at the opposing 1-yard line. That led to a 22-yard field goal instead of six. A hold, followed by an illegal formation and another twitch, coupled with a sack, derailed any chance at a late comeback.
Cody Tucker and Jared Newland discussed all of that on the latest 7220sports.com Kickoff Show. Hit the link right HERE.
Of course, we also touched on tonight's game against hated rival BYU, sharing memories and stories about our past with the Cougars and their fans. Wyoming is a double-digit underdog in this one, but could you ask for a better team to get right against?
We also chatted about the Mountain West exiles -- San Diego State, Fresno State, Boise State and Border War rival Colorado State -- and what that means for the future of the league. We really got deep on this subject on the Roaring Repeater Podcast. You can find that right HERE.
