Cowboys Open Play at Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz., –The Wyoming Cowboy golf team was putting together a solid second round until the Pokes ran out of daylight on the opening day of the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate at the Tucson Country Club in Tucson, Ariz. on Monday.
The Pokes are currently in seventh place in the 14-team field and will finish the second-round tomorrow morning before finishing the tournament tomorrow afternoon.
Wyoming is currently at 547 (+23) with holes remaining in the second round. UW shot a 301 (+13) in the first round of the event.
Davis Seybert is currently tied for 20th place with rounds of 75 (+3) and is even par through 16 holes in the second round. Jimmy Dales is tied for 23rd with a round of 74 (+2) and two-over in the second round, as he has five holes left.
Kristof Panke is tied for 41st and is three-over in the second round and recorded a 76 (+4) in the opening round. Jaren Calkins is tied for 56th and is five-over in the second round with a 78 (+6) in the first 18. Patrick Azevedo is tied for 65th with two holes left in the second round and a 76 (+4) in the morning.
Arizona, the host of the event leads the field at eight-under par. Long Beach State is second along with New Mexico at two under. Sam Sommerhauser leads the field at six-under par.
