Ezell Announces a Pair of Cowgirl Basketball Signees

LARAMIE -- Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball Head Coach Heather Ezell has announced the addition of a pair of student-athletes that will be joining the Cowgirls next fall. Logann Alvar and Lana Beslic announced their commitments to Wyoming Wednesday.
Logann Alvar | 6-0 | Forward | Casper, Wyo. | Casper College
Alvar, who graduated from Kelly Walsh High School, transfers into Wyoming from Casper College. At Casper, Alvar, who was a 2024 Region IX All-Region Team member, helped lead the T-Birds to back-to-back NJCAA National Tournament appearances. Alvar was a two-time Region IX All-Tournament Team honoree and was named to the Nationals All-Tournament Team this past season. This past season, Alvar started in all 35 games for Casper and was second on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game on 46.2-percent shooting from the floor. Alvar’s 5.9 rebounds per contest led the T-Birds while she also averaged 2.4 assists per game and a steal per.
“We are excited to add Logann to our Cowgirl Family,” said Head Coach Heather Ezell.
“She is a Wyoming native, that knows what it means to play for the Brown & Gold. She has the ability to do multiple things at the post position, that will mesh well with our motion offense.”
Lana Beslic | 5-8 | Guard | Split, Croatia | Western Reserve Academy
Beslic, who spent the 2023-24 season at the Western Reserve Academy in Ohio, played for KAZL Split in the Croatia-Premijer Liga in Croatia in 2022-23. In 19 games with KAZL, Beslic averaged seven points, five rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Beslic played for the junior Croatian National Team from U14 to U20, where she helped Croatia win the U18 European Championship, Division B in 2023 for the U18 team. In six games at the European Championships, Beslic averaged 10 points, six rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game for Croatia.
“We couldn’t be happier to be adding Lana to the Cowgirl Family,” continued Ezell.
“She comes from a great prep program and her experience at the international level, will make it an easy transition for her into our system.”
