Cowboys Add Veteran Transfer to Backcourt
LARAMIE -- Wanted: Transfers who wont flinch.
Sundance Wicks found just that in newcomers like Michael Mora, Renars Sondors, Parker Gerrits and others. With Five core pieces returning to the lineup this fall, Wyoming's head coach said that didn't deter any of the names above.

Want playing time? You're going to have to earn it.
Wicks and Co. Wednesday landed another prospect ready to take on that challenge.
Canin Jefferson, who spent the previous three seasons at North Alabama, announced on social media he has inked with the Cowboys and will join the program ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
He has one year of eligibility remaining.
The addition of the 6-foot-2, 185-pound guard means there are now 11 new faces on the roster, three from the high school ranks.
"You have to take some chances on some of those flyers at the back end of your roster right now," Wicks said in June, referring to transfers like Micah Curtis, a 6-foot-8 forward out of the University of North Dakota. "Maybe you're going to hit, maybe you're not, but I know this, they're going to develop. That's one thing that we pride our program on. So they're going to develop a certain way. How much they develop, a lot of that is based on how much work they put in.
"If you want more, you got to do more."
Jefferson provides more than a hope and a prayer.
The New Orleans native started 18-of-22 games last season, netting 12.4 points per night, the second-highest average on the Lions' roster. He shot 40.6% from the field and dished out nearly three assists an outing. Jefferson wasn't much of a threat from deep, connecting on just 29 of his 100 attempts from beyond the arc.
Jefferson reached double-figures 14 times last winter, including eclipsing the 20-point mark on three occasions.
His best outing came in early January when he scored a season-high 24 points and finished with five helpers in an 88-80 road loss to Eastern Kentucky. He drilled 4-of-8 triples and capped the night 7-of-13 from the field. Six of his points also came from the free-throw stripe.
A former standout at Newman, the same high school that produced Peyton and Eli Manning, along with Odell Beckham Jr., Jefferson helped lead his team to three state championship games and two prep titles.
He has 87 collegiate games under his belt and has averaged 17.2 minutes a night, including 30 last season.
Jefferson will join a backcourt in Laramie that features returners Naz Meyer, Khaden Bennett and Uriyah Rojas. Wicks also inked guards Madden Smiley, Kelan Gruver, Mattia De Martin and Gerrits.
Wyoming now has 14 scholarship players on its roster.
