Pokes Add Another Big Man to the 2026-27 Hoops Roster
LARAMIE -- A twin from the Twin Cities is heading to Wyoming.
Micah Curtis, who spent his first collegiate season at the University of North Dakota, announced on social media Friday he has signed with Sundance Wicks' Cowboys.

The 6-foot-8 redshirt freshman was limited to just three games during the 2025-26 campaign after being sidelined with a season-ending injury. The St. Louis Park, Minn., native shared a frontcourt with twin brother Marley Curtis.
In just his second-career game, Micah Curtis netted 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting in a 128-58 rout of Mayville State. He added six rebounds -- two on the offensive glass -- along with a team-best five blocks.
Nearly 20 schools, including Northern Illinois, Ohio and South Dakota State, among others, showed interest in the 230-pound forward after he hit the open market.
At St. Louis Park High School, Curtis led his team in scoring during his senior season, pouring in nearly 30 points an outing. He was also the leading rebounder, snagging 9.8 boards a night. That output earned him First Team All-Metro West honors.
Curtis is the sixth addition to Wicks' roster this offseason, joining fellow forwards Linus Ruf (Germany) and Renars Sondors (Louisiana Monroe). Guards Mattia De Martin (Indian Hills Community College), Michael Mora (Cal State Monterey) and Parker Gerrits (Washington State) also inked with the Cowboys in April.

Guards Naz Meyer and Khaden Bennett announced last month they will return to the lineup. That duo combined for nearly 24 points and 10 rebounds per game last winter. Back-up point guard Uriyah Rojas will also be back for his senior campaign. He netted 6.2 a night while averaging 16.5 minutes of court time.
Forward Gavin Gores will also be back for his sophomore season.
Five players entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in early April, headlined by guard Damarion Dennis, who will hook up with former UW head coach Jeff Linder at Texas Tech. Fellow guards Adam Harakow (Western Michigan) and Jared Harris (Prairie View A&M) also left in free agency. So did forwards Abou Magassa (UNC-Asheville) and Simm-Martin Saadi (Central Arkansas).
The Mountain West will look much different this fall with the departures of San Diego State, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and defending conference champion Utah State. Those five are headed to the reimagined Pac-12. The league will now welcome Hawaii and UTEP as full-time members. Grand Canyon was inserted a year ahead of schedule and finished fourth overall with 20 wins. UC Davis' basketball programs will also enter the league this summer.
UNLV, Air Force, New Mexico, Nevada and San Jose State also remain.
