“We mustered out a decent score when we played sloppy,” head coach Joe Jensen said. “We’ve got two more days, and we’ve got two more good rounds that we can put together. Firstly, we’ll focus on putting together a solid second round.”

Davis Seybert, who’s participating as an individual, led the way for the Cowboys with his best round as a collegiate golfer. He fired a 67 (-5) that was littered with seven birdies, which puts him in a tie for sixth.

“That’s a great round for Davis,” Jensen said. “He’s wanting to get into the lineup, and this is a good start. I want to see how he does with pressure and expectations. But it’s good for Davis. I’m proud of him.”

Damon Vilkauskas leads Wyoming regarding the team score. He carded a 70 (-2) that saw him bridie three of his final four holes, which positions him in a tie for 18th.

Ethan Smith, who’s also playing as an individual, recorded a 70 (-2), as well. He managed five birdies with a bogey and a double bogey.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
