"Saturday is an important deal for us," UW head coach Jay Sawvel said. "I hope there's 20,000 people at the spring game. That'd be tremendous. We need to play in front of people."
Due to construction on the west side of the stadium, seating for the game will be on the opposite side. The Wildcatter Club and Suites will also be closed to fans. Concessions will feature Pizza Hut, Ranch Eats and Kettle Corn. Bathrooms will be open on the east side of the stadium.
Parking for the game will take place in lots near the venue on a first-come, first-serve basis. Open containers for tailgating in the Stadium Lot is set from 8 a.m. to Noon.

Also due to construction, the sound system and scoreboards inside the stadium are not operational. A temporary sound system will be out on the field with an emcee to give score updates throughout the game.
Sawvel said the first half will be played like a real game with 15-minute quarters. The final two frames, he added, will be based on the number of plays run in the first half. That could include a 10-or-12-minute clock.
Veteran players, like senior defensive end Tyce Westland, he said, will be on a "pitch count," meaning their reps will be limited. Same can be said for offensive linemen Jack Walsh and Caden Barnett, along with a whole host of upperclassmen.
"We have a whole football team that needs, like, a final exam in front of people, and that's what we're excited about," Sawvel added. "It's supposed to be 68 degrees, is what I saw today on my little Weather Channel app. It said it's the nicest day in the next seven days is Saturday, so we'll be ready to go for that."

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.

Just The Facts: Size Doesn't Matter For Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium

Did you know it would take the populations of Gillette (32,857), Laramie (32,381), Rock Springs (23,319), Sheridan (17,844) and Wright (1,200) to create a sellout inside Michigan's famed 107,601-seat Big House, the largest college football stadium in the nation?

For those of you not familiar with the Cowboy State, those are Wyoming's third through sixth most inhabited cities, along with the small mining town in Campbell County.
