Pokes look to get back in win column Friday at Air Force

LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys hit the road once again facing off against Air Force on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. in a contest on the Mountain West Network. The contest will be the 122nd meeting between the two schools in a series that dates back to 1958.
Fans can watch and listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Reece Monaco will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.

Wyoming heads to Colorado Springs with 15-3 overall record and 4-1 mark in conference play after falling on the road at Boise State 65-62 on Tuesday, as Wyoming six-game winning streak was snapped.
The Pokes rank second in the MW and No. 20 in the nation shooting 48.5 percent from the field. Wyoming is second in the conference shooting 37.1 percent from behind the arc. Wyoming ranks third in the conference holding teams to 40.7 percent from the field.
The Falcons head into Friday’s game with a 10-8 overall record and a 3-4 mark in conference play.
Air Force picked up a road win at San Jose State by a score of 63-53. Air Force is one of the top defensive teams in the conference allowing 61.3 points per game. The Falcons are scoring just 59.7 points per contest on the season. Air Force adds 8.4 three-pointers per game and is shooting 36.8 percent from behind the arc.

Wyoming is led in scoring by Graham Ike at 20.5 points per game, a number that leads the MW conference and ranks No. 15 in the nation. He also leads the team grabbing 8.9 rebounds per game to rank fourth in the MW.
MW Player of the Week Hunter Maldonado adds 17.8 points per game to rank eighth in the conference. The Colorado Springs product leads the team with 6.5 assists per game to lead the conference and rank sixth in the nation.
Drake Jeffries nets 11.4 points per game. He leads the conference and ranks third in the nation shooting 49.2 percent from behind the arc.
The Falcons are led in scoring by AJ Walker at 15.6 points per game. He is shooting 49 percent from the field for the season. Walker is shooting 40 percent from behind the arc with a team high 37 threes. Ethan Taylor adds 9.8 points per game and leads the team with 70 assists and also adds 5.8 rebounds per game to lead the team.

Wyoming leads the all-time series against the Falcons 80-41 and own a 34-23 record in Colorado Springs. The two teams split the season series last season, as both games were played inside Clune Arena.
