LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys return to the friendly confines of the Arena-Auditorium on Saturday hosting Boise State in a 5:30 p.m. It is the only meeting this season between the Broncos and Cowboys.

The contest will be streamed on the MW Network. Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.

 

About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 13-13 overall record and a 6-7 in conference. The Pokes dropped a road contest on Tuesday at Nevada by a score of 76-58. The Pokes lead the MW in three-point field goal percentage at 37.3 percent, a number that ranks No. 28 in the nation. Wyoming is grabbing 35.1 rebounds and are +2.3 per game. UW is averaging 36.2 per game and conference play and are +3.3.

The Broncos head into the contest with an 18-8 overall record and a 9-4 mark in conference play. Boise State is shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from behind the arc. Boise State is averaging 7.9 three pointers per game. The Broncos are one of the top rebounding teams in the league grabbing 36.6 per game and are grabbing 6.9 more rebounds per game than opponents.

 

About The Players

Wyoming is led in scoring this season by Sam Griffin at 17.4 points per game. He has scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season. He also leads the team adding 3.5 assists per game. Akuel Kot adds 14.2 points per game and leads the team shooting 38.6 percent from behind the arc.

Mason Walters adds 12.8 points per game and Brendan Wenzel adds 11.1 per night. Cam Manyawu adds 6.3 rebounds per game to lead the Pokes this season. He added a double-double at Nevada on Tuesday for his sixth of the season.

The Broncos are led in scoring by Tyson Degenhart at 16.4 points per game and is second on the team with 5.8 rebounds per game. Chibuzo Agbo adds 14 points per game and 4.7 rebounds. Max Rice adds 12.5 points per game and leads team with 45 assists and O’Mar Stanley leads the team with 6.3 rebounds.

 

About The Series

The Cowboys trail the all-time series against Boise State 23-15 in a series that dates back 1979. UW is 10-10 all-time against the Broncos in Laramie.
