LARAMIE -- The University of Wyoming Track & Field teams will get their 2022 started at the Potts Invitational hosted by the University of Colorado this Friday and Saturday from Boulder, Colo. 

After kicking off the 2021-22 Indoor Track & Field season from Laramie the Cowboys and Cowgirls are ready for the second meet of the season and the first of the new year.

This weekend’s meet will get started on Friday afternoon at 12PM with the men’s Shot Put and High Jump along with the women’s Pole Vault and Long Jump. The men’s/women’s events respectively will follow at the conclusion of the other. The Triple Jump and Weight Throw for both the men and women will follow the Long Jump and the Shot Put. 

With the field events taking place all on Friday, day two on Saturday is reserved for the Track events beginning with the men’s mile and finishing up with the women’s 4x400 Relay. 

The Pokes will be joined in Boulder by teams from Air Force, Colorado College, UCCS, Colorado State, UC, Metro State Denver and Northern Colorado.

The meet will be held at Colorado’s Indoor Practice Facility. The IPF is located near the intersection of Folsom St. and Stadium Drive. 

Spectators will be charged for admission to the meet as follows; $5 Friday and $8 Saturday. Spectators are encouraged to pick up a seating map near the entry.
