Pokes to face Howard in opening round of Paradise Jam
ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands -- Wyoming will take on Howard Nov. 18 in the opening round of the 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, tournament officials announced Tuesday afternoon. Tip time is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Mountain Time.
This will be the third meeting between the two schools. The Cowboys knocked off the Bison 84-75 in the Duel of the Desert in Logan, Utah back in 2008. The other tilt between these foes had more on the line.

Led by a 20-point performance from Charles Bradley, UW knocked off Howard 78-43 in the opening round of the 1981 NCAA Tournament. Bill Garnett netted 18 points and Kenneth Ollie chipped in with 11 in the blowout.
Howard finished the 2021-22 campaign 16-13 overall and 9-5 in Mid-Eastern Conference play. The Cowboys capped their season with a 25-9 record and make the school's 16th ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Cowboys will also take on the Dayton Flyers Dec. 17 inside the United Center in Chicago in non-conference play. Wyoming will also face St. Mary's for a neutral site meeting Dec. 10 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.
Grand Canyon will also visit Laramie this season as part of a home-and-home with the Antelopes. UW knocked off GCU 68-61 last November in Phoenix.
