LARAMIE -- There's plenty on the line on this final week of the regular season.

If No. 24 UNLV can take care of business at home against in-state rival Nevada, the Rebels will once again meet Boise State in the Mountain West championship game. Those two met last December inside Allegiant Stadium. This one would be on The Blue of Albertsons Stadium.

Colorado State still has a fighting chance.

The Rams lost control of their own destiny last Saturday night in Fresno, but a victory over Utah State in Fort Collins, coupled with a UNLV loss, will set up a meeting with Heisman hopeful Ashton Jeanty and the No. 12 Broncos.

New Mexico, under first-year head coach Bronco Mendenhall, still has postseason hopes. If the Lobos can win on the islands, that program will go bowling for the first time since 2016.

As for Wyoming, it's still all about pride.

Jay Sawvel's team showed that in spades last Saturday night inside War Memorial Stadium, taking Boise State into deep, uncomfortable waters. The visitors eventually prevailed 17-13, but no one was left questioning the desire of this squad. Can they put forth that same effort in Pullman against former defensive coordinator Jake Dickert?

If so, they will likely have to do it with back-up quarterback Evan Svoboda under center.

Kickoff between Wyoming (2-9, 2-5) and Washington State (8-3) is slated for 4:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on The CW.

We're excited this week to be joined by former Wyoming safety Matt Lehning and his son Brock. The Lehning's, who are our guest pickers, are the owners of the Brown and Gold Outlet in Laramie and Cheyenne. Now would be a great time to snag some Christmas gifts, huh? University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
