LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys continue their brief homestand hosting New Mexico on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium in a contest on CBS Sports Network. Saturday’s contest is a Gold Rush with the first 1,000 fans in attendance receiving a free replica jersey t-shirt.

Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Reece Monaco will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.

About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest winners of five-straight games and own a 14-2 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play. The Pokes are second in the conference this season averaging 77.5 points per game.

Wyoming is knocking down 9.4 threes per game for second in the conference and have hit 10 or more in back-to-back games and four of the last five contests. Defensively, opponents are shooting 28 percent from behind the arc, as UW ranks second in the MW and No. 14 in the nation.

The Lobos head into the contest with a 7-11 overall record and a 0-5 mark in conference play. New Mexico fell at Colorado State on Wednesday by a score of 80-74. UNM averages 76.9 points per game, but are allowing 78.1 per contest. New Mexico is shooting 43 percent from the field with opponents shooting 45 percent.

About The Players

Wyoming is led in scoring by Graham Ike at 20 points per game, a number that leads the MW conference and ranks No. 22 in the nation. He missed Wednesday’s contest against San Jose State He also leads the team grabbing 8.5 rebounds per game to rank fifth in the MW. Hunter Maldonado nets 17.3 points per game to rank eighth in the conference. He leads the team with 6.7 assists per game to lead the conference and rank fourth in the nation. Drake Jeffries chips in with 11.2 points per game. He leads the conference and ranks fifth in the nation shooting 48.6 percent from behind the arc.

The Lobos are led in scoring by Jamal Mashburn Jr. at 17.7 points per game. He has 32 threes on the season, as he is tied for second on the team. Jaelen House adds 16 points per game and leads the team with 82 assists. Gethro Muscadin leads the team grabbing 5.3 rebounds per game.

About The Series

Wyoming is 70-75 all-time against the Lobos in a series that dates back to 1950. The Pokes are 41-26 against the Lobos in Laramie. Wyoming took both meetings last season that took place in Colorado Springs.
