Wyoming, Boise State Set to Co-Host Mountain Match Play Classic

PALM DESERT, Calif., - The 2024 spring season will tee off for the Wyoming Cowgirl Golf team on Monday-Wednesday, Feb. 12-14 when it will co-host the 2024 Mountain Match Play Classic with Boise State.
The tournament will be played at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
The tournament field will include eight teams playing in a match-play format over the three-day event. First round seedings will be based on final 2023 fall season women’s golf team rankings. Teams will advance through the bracket with a winner’s bracket and consolation bracket and a match-play champion being crowned at the end of the three-day event.

Eight Team field will include: co-hosts Boise State and Wyoming along with Montana State, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona, Portland State, Seattle and University of St. Thomas (Minn.).
Leading the Way for the Cowgirls This Spring: Cowgirl graduate student Morgan Ryan will enter the 2024 spring season after recording three Top 25 finishes in four tournaments last fall. Ryan tied for 18th at the Pat Bradley Invitational to conclude the fall season. She posted a 24th place finish at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational and she tied for 23rd at the Payne Stewart Memorial.
Kyla Wilde is coming off a fall season where she posted two Top 25 finishes. Graduate students Jadan Gonzalez and Tomine Bjerkelo each finished in the Top 25 in one tournament last fall.
