ATLANTA -- Three Cowboys will compete across three days in five events at the 2026 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, Thursday to Saturday, in Atlanta, Ga.

Prelims start each day at 8 a.m. MT, with finals action beginning at 4:03 p.m. MT.

Senior Alex Metzler will take on the 400-yard IM and 500-yard Freestyle, Thursday and Friday, respectively. He entered as the 36th seed in the 400 IM at 3:44.10. Metzler is also 36th in the 500 Free with his seed time of 4:16.20.

Junior Simon Casey will swim the 200-yard Freestyle and Backstroke on Thursday and Saturday. Casey enters with the 52nd time in the 200 Free at 1:33.80 and 37th in the 200 Back with a time of 1:41.55.

Freshman Jackson Kogler will swim in the 200- and 400-yard IM, the first Cowboy to swim both at the championships since Mark Miller did so in 1987. Kogler enters 41st in the 400 IM at 3:45.39 and 30th for the 200 IM with a seed time of 1:43.70. He will join Metzler on Thursday in the 400 IM and will swim the 200 IM on Saturday.

Each Cowboy qualified for two events at the championships, matching the most events Wyoming will swim in at a single championship, at six (2014). Three Cowboys swimmers at the NCAA championships is also the most ever sent and ties the most to represent Wyoming at the championship, swimmers or divers.
