LARAMIE -- Cowboys, show us something.

For nearly 50 minutes last Saturday, this team looked all but lifeless in what would eventually become a 21-13 victory over Northern Colorado, a winless FCS program.

There were costly penalties and two more turnovers, bringing that latter number to six through two games. Explosive plays have also been an issue. Wyoming (1-1) has already given up seven of those, each going for more than 25 yards.

The first didn't happen against Aaron Bohl's defense last fall until Week 4.

Yes, there are a lot of new faces. Yes, there is inexperience littered throughout. No, there is no excuse to mess around with a team that has never in its history won a game against an FBS program, let alone in front of 24,000-plus in the opposition's home opener.

It wasn't pretty, but it was a win, nonetheless.

Cody and Jared break it all down -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- and look ahead to a rare battle with Central Michigan (1-1). We also answer reader questions and take a trip around the Mountain West.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert Gagliardi, Jared Newland, Ryan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
