Rants & Raves: Northern Iowa Edition
LARAMIE -- The FCS dragon has been slayed.
It's no secret that Wyoming hasn't exactly lit up lower-level opponents of late inside the friendly confines of War Memorial Stadium. In fact, last season's home slate kicked off with a boot to the teeth, courtesy of Idaho.
Cal Poly has won in Laramie. So did North Dakota.

Programs like Montana State, Montana, Weber State, Wofford and Portland State have made things interesting, too.
Northern Iowa didn't, getting outclassed 31-7 in front of more than 25,000 in attendance Saturday in sunny Laramie.
Aside from an injury to starting quarterback Kaden Anderson, one his head coach called an "upper-body" ailment, this script basically went to plan: Win in all three phases, get some back-ups in.
Wyoming natives Cody Crawford (Casper) and Tegen Seeds (Douglas), both defensive tackles, were on the field for the Panthers' final possession of the day. The Cowboys' blocked their first punt since 2022. Jaden DaCosta was responsible for that. The offense found the end zone three times, including a pair of touchdown tosses from Anderson.
Running backs Sam Scott and Samuel "Tote" Harris both had 18-yard runs to the end zone in this one.
