This marks the second consecutive power-four game for the Pokes, who own a 2-1-1 overall record on the season. They traveled to Colorado – which was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches’ Poll – this past weekend and acquitted themselves quite well albeit in a 2-1 defeat.

Wyoming led for two-thirds of the match following an Alyssa Glover goal just 25 seconds in. It was the fastest goal in school history, while also being the quickest goal allowed by Colorado in program history.

Glover has been the Cowgirls’ most potent offensive weapon this year after coming back from an injury that cost her nearly all of 2024. She has three goals in three consecutive games, and all have been assisted by Jennah Wanner.

Kiley Ballek has two scores to her name. Raegan Richardson rounds out the Pokes’ scoring in 2025 with one goal.

Haley Bartel patrols the net for Wyoming. She has made 10 saves with three goals surrendered for a GAA of 0.75.

Georgia is 4-1-1 on the season, which includes a 4-1-0 mark in Athens, Georgia. The Bulldogs boast a 2-0 victory over defending national champion, North Carolina.

Denigan Summer paces Georgia with five goals and one assist for 11 points. Kiera Staude isn’t far behind having scored four times. Hannah Folliard owns all the starts in net for the Bulldogs. She has recorded 10 saves and allowed a pair of goals for a GAA of 0.41.

Wyoming and Georgia have met twice before, and the Bulldogs won both matchups by a combined score of 6-1. The Cowgirls haven’t played an SEC team since 2017 when they squared off with Kentucky.

Following the trip to Athens, the Pokes stay on the road for a Sept. 11 tilt at Idaho State. That contest will kick at 6 p.m. at Davis Field.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
