FORT COLLINS, Colo., -- Where has this been?

Chances are you said that exact thing to yourself as you witnessed Wyoming, led by a redshirt freshman quarterback -- making his first-career start, no less -- account for four touchdowns in a 49-45 come-from-behind victory in Albuquerque.

Kaden Anderson threw for 342 yards. He connected with John Michael Gyllenborg, Justin Stevenson and Jaylen Sargent on touchdown tosses. He ran in another one in the Pokes' second win of the season.

How rare was this outing?

A Wyoming signal caller hasn't thrown for that many yards since Cam Coffman did it back in 2015.

Anderson was really good in New Mexico. Running back Harrison Waylee was great.

Making his 2024 debut after suffering a knee injury late in fall camp, the senior gashed the Lobos to the tune of 170 yards and a touchdown. Waylee said he was "rusty."

He's even healthier now after the Cowboys' bye week.

Imagine if Wyoming can get this type of performance tonight against Border War rival Colorado State? You might as well just leave the Bronze Boot in its current case.

Cody Tucker and Jared Newland break it all down on the latest 7220sports.com Kickoff Show. You can find this episode right HERE.

You're probably telling yourself, he forgot to mention how poorly the defense played in that shootout. Listen in and get our take on why there could be a much-different result inside Canvas Stadium.
