PODCAST: Pokes Are Going Streaking
LARAMIE -- What if I told you in October the Cowboys would be three games above .500 and 5-3 in Mountain West play at this point of the season?
You'd take it, right?

Well, that's exactly what Jeff Linder's team has done so far, including winning 4-of-5. Sure, it's taken some luck. Akuel Kot has hit a pair of buzzer beaters to knock off San Jose State and Fresno State. Wyoming went on a 12-1 run over the final 1:11 to force overtime against Border War rival Colorado State.
Kot and Co. took care of business in the extra frame and completed that improbable victory, 79-76.
The Cowboys finally broke through on the road last Tuesday in Colorado Springs, knocking off Air Force, 83-72. It's safe to say that was the best all-around outing for this squad in league play, if not all season.
Cody Tucker and Jared Newland break down the latest from Laramie and get you ready for the Pokes' showdown tonight with UNLV. I'm sure you've heard -- Wyoming has lost 19 straight to the Rebels on their home floor during the regular season. That unwanted streak dates all the way back to 2003.
George W. Bush was in the White House. It was his first term.
If that skid comes to an end tonight in Sin City, the Cowboys will pick up their sixth conference win. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
