Pokes Close Non-Conference Play Today at CSU Fullerton

LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys close out non-conference play on Sunday with a trip to Cal State Fullerton. The contest is set for a 3 p.m. MT start on ESPN-Plus. It will be the first matchup between the schools since Nov. 29, 2021.

Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.

About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the game with a 6-5 overall record after defeating Bellarmine 92-55 on Thursday. Wyoming is shooting 46.7 percent from the field and are holding opponent's 42.5 percent to rank fifth in the MW. Wyoming is shooting 33.8 percent from behind the arc and are holding opponents to 29.5 percent to rank second in the conference. Wyoming grabs 39.4 rebounds per game for fourth in the league and have a rebound margin of +8.5 for third in the MW and No. 26 in the nation.

The Titans are 4-8 overall on the season and defeated Denver 74-59 on December 15 at home. The CSU Fullerton averages 60.9 point per game and allows 71.0 points per night. The Titans are shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from behind the arc. CSUF allows opponents to shoot 43.7 per from the field and 32.5 percent from behind the arc.

The Cowboys are led in scoring by Obi Agbim at 19.2 point per game to rank second in the MW and No. 34 in the nation. He leads the conference and ranks eighth in the nation shooting 51.7 percent from behind the arc. Jordan Nesbitt adds 9.8 points per game and lead the team with 8.4 rebounds to rank fourth in the MW. He leads the MW with five double doubles this season. Kobe Newton adds 9.2 points per game and is second on the team with 19 assists.

The Titans are led in scoring by Donovan Oday at 11.8 points per game. He also leads the team grabbing 5.2 rebounds per game. He is shooting 37.9 percent from behind the arc with a team-best 11 make this season. John Mikey Square add 9.5 point and lead the team with 17 assists this season.

About The Series
The Cowboys and Titans will meet for the eighth time in a series that dates to 1959. Wyoming leads the all-time series 6-1 and are 3-0 in Fullerton. The two last meet in 2021 in a road contest that saw Wyoming win 79-66.
