LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys open Mountain West play on Tuesday evening hosting San Jose State at 6:30 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.

It will be the first home contest for the Cowboys in 17 days, as the Cowboys sport a 4-1 record at home this season.

Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be streamed on the MW Network and the MW App and will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.

About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the contest with a 7-6 overall record after falling on the road to No. 12/14 BYU on Saturday in Provo. The Pokes lead the conference and rank sixth in the nation shooting 40.8 percent from behind the arc.

Wyoming is also one of the top teams in the conference getting to the free throw line with 17.2 made freebies a game for second in the conference and No. 30 in the nation. The Pokes are second in the conference shooting 74.3 percent from the free throw line. Wyoming is shooting 46 percent from the field with opponents shooting 44.2 percent.

San Jose State heads into the game with a 7-6 record and won their last contest at home against Santa Clara by a score of 81-78 on Dec. 20.

SJSU is scoring 75.7 points per game and are allowing 71.1 per night. The Spartans are shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from behind the arc. Opponents are shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the arc.

About The Players
Wyoming is led in scoring this season by Sam Griffin at 18.3 points per game for second in the conference and No. 66 in the nation. He is shooting 48 percent from the field on the season and lead the team with 3.8 assists per game for eighth in the conference. Akuel Kot adds 15.8 points per game for ninth in the conference. Mason Walters is averaging 13.3 points per contest.

Caden Powell leads the team with 6.4 rebounds per game, which ranks ninth in the MW this season.

SJSU is led in scoring by Myron Amey, Jr. at 14.5 points per game. He also adds 45 rebounds per game. Alvaro Cardenas adds 13.4 points per game and has a team-high 74 assists on the season.

Tibet Gorener adds 13.1 points and 5.1 rebounds. Trey Anderson leads the team with 5.4 rebounds per game.

About The Series
The Cowboys and Spartans will meet for the 24th time on Tuesday. Wyoming is 20-3 all-time against the Spartans in a series that dates back to 1965. SJSU took the only meeting last season in San Jose by a score of 84-64.
