Show us your picks: Week Six
LARAMIE -- We all have the Wyoming-Fresno State going down to the wire.
Only Mat Murdock thinks the No. 24 Bulldogs will escape Laramie with a victory. I'd say ignore that, but as you'll see, he's the only one of us to go a perfect 12-0 last week.
Every week I get asked my thoughts on the upcoming game on various radio shows. This one is tricky.
The Cowboys are 4-1 overall but haven't put together a complete game yet. That's actually good news if you think about it. One week it's the special teams pulling the weight. Others, it's the veteran-laden defense.

It was Andrew Peasley and Co. rolling up a season-best 433 yards of total offense in last week's 35-26 win over New Mexico inside War Memorial Stadium. Wyoming's senior signal caller tossed one touchdown pass and rushed for another. Harrison Waylee eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground for the third straight week. The junior transfer from Northern Illinois gashed the Lobos to the tune of 191 yards on the ground and scored on an improbable 46-yard run, shucking defenders and blowing down the sideline.
Who will be the hero this week?
How about John Hoyland?
The Cowboys' junior kicker is a perfect 8-for-8 this season. He was most recently named to the Lou Groza Stars of the Week list. The Mountain West would probably be safe to just name the Special Teams Player of the Week award after him, too. The only thing that's not on Hoyland's résumé -- a game-winning kick at the buzzer.
Let's try that this week, huh?
That's my prediction. Do not take it to the bank.
