“I think the accomplishments for this meet are just to celebrate the hard work that a lot of our athletes have put in,” head coach Dave Denniston said. “We have a good-sized team, and not everyone gets to go to conference, so only a select number will compete in this meet with the chance of seeing how fast they can go with a taper and a fast tech-suit. For some of them, they are seniors, so this is their last meet as a Cowgirl or Cowboy, so we want to celebrate that and see how fast they can go because they have been instrumental in our team and our program.”

The action begins Friday at 3:00 on Friday and concludes on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Wyoming is sending 19 swimmers – fifteen Cowgirls and four Cowboys. Two divers, one Cowboy and one Cowgirl, will also make the trip south.

Up next for the Cowgirls is the Mountain West Conference Championships, which start Feb. 21 and run through Feb. 24 in Houston, Texas.

The next event for the Cowboys is the Western Athletic Conference Championships that begin Feb. 28 and wraps on March 2 in Pharr, Texas.
