LARAMIE -- "We got another one."

Sundance Wicks, in a way only he can pull off, announced Wednesday on social media he has landed his third transfer of the offseason during what he has coined "Portal Kombat."

That man is Khaden Bennett.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard from Grand Prairie, Texas spent the previous two seasons at Quinnipiac in Connecticut, where he averaged 7.4 points and nearly four rebounds per game.

He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Bennett joins fellow newcomers Buddy Hammer Jr. and DaMarion Dennis, who signed with Wyoming earlier this month.

"In this year’s recruiting class, we have targeted specific guys for a specific mission," Wicks, Wyoming's second-year head coach, said in a release. "Each young man we sign has been intentionally identified, obsessively analyzed, and thoroughly vetted to fit our 'Cowboy Culture.'"

Six Cowboys have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal since the spring window opened on March 24, including guards Obi Agbim (Baylor), Nigle CookLevi Brown and AJ Wills.

Big men Scottie Ebube and Oleg Kojenets (Stony Brook) are also on the open market.

Only two scholarship players remain -- forwards Matija Belic and Abou Magassa -- and Wicks and Co. have added three high school prospects: Forwards Gavin Gores (6'10", 210, Cumberland, Wisconsin) and Neil Summers (6'9", 240, Laramie, Wyo.) and guard Nasir Meyer (6'7", 185, Los Angeles, Calif.).

Freshman walk-on Garrett Spielman of Sheridan is also currently on the roster.

Bennett, who was on campus last weekend, is coming off a breakout season where he netted 10.3 points per night. He also added nearly two assists and 4.6 boards. The sophomore connected on 40.4% of his shots from the field and made 39-of-113 attempts from deep (34.5%).

He was also nearly an 80% free throw shooter.

His best outing last winter came during a 10-point victory over Sacred Heart. That night he netted a career-high 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting, stroked three triples and was perfect from the stripe on six attempts. Bennett also reeled in five rebounds and dished out three helpers.

Bennett reached double-figures 20 times, including during 15-of-17 outings from late November through Feb. 2. He eclipsed the 20-point mark three times.

After starting 20-of-33 games for the Bobcats and helping lead Quinnipiac to the MAAC Championship game during the 2024-25 campaign, Bennett entered the transfer portal on April 1.

"My time here at Quinnipiac for the last two years have been amazing," he penned on X. "I'm grateful to my teammates and coaches for their endless belief in me to be the best person I can be, on and off the court. The experiences and friendships I've created here will always be special to me.

"With that being said, after much prayer and careful consideration, I have decided to explore my options in the transfer portal. Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped me along the way."

Bennett, according to CBS Sports Jon Rothstein, also received interest from LaSalle, Richmond, George Mason, San Francisco, Hofstra, William & Mary and Stetson.

Though the current portal window will close April 22, players who have entered the free-agent market can still sign at any time.
