LARAMIE -- Forty.

That's the number of players who have left the Wyoming basketball program since the NCAA Transfer Portal took effect back in October of 2018.

We take a walk through memory lane below, showing you 37 of those players. Why not 40? Well, three freshmen -- Dylan Warlick, Oliver Faubert and Dominic Pagonis -- changed their minds last May when Jeff Linder made a mad dash for Texas Tech.

That trio now hoops at Saint Louis, Saint Mary's and Arkansas State, respectively.

Another rookie, Makaih Williams, also decided Laramie wasn't for him ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, asking for a release from his National Letter of Intent. He made a pit stop at UT-Arlington before landing at Grand Canyon, where he averaged better than eight points per game last season.

Sundance Wicks has lost six from last year's roster, including leading scorer Obi Agbim. He earned another season via a waiver, allowing seniors who began their career at the juco level and additional 12 months of eligibility.

Agbim recently signed with Baylor.

Two big men -- Scottie Ebube and Oleg Kojenets -- are on the open market. So is AJ Wills, Levi Brown and Nigle Cook.

An All-Star team of former Wyoming players still has time on their collegiate clock, including Gonzaga's Graham Ike. Jeremiah Oden is now at San Diego State and Cam Manyawu and Kael Combs, fresh off a trip to the NCAA Tournament, are now Iowa bound.

Depressed yet?

Wicks has three incoming freshmen -- Forwards Gavin Gores (6'10", 210, Cumberland, Wisconsin) and Neil Summers (6'9", 240, Laramie, Wyo.) and guard Nasir Meyer (6'7", 185, Los Angeles, Calif.). Last week the second-year head coach also added forward Buddy Hammer (Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College) and guard Damarion Dennis (Texas A&M-Corpus-Christi).

Forwards Abou Magassa and Matija Belic are the lone holdovers from last season.
