LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team has announced their non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season. The Cowgirls will play nine regular-season games and two exhibitions to begin the season.

Six of those contests will be held in the Arena-Auditorium.

Wyoming opens with a pair of exhibitions October 24 and 31 hosting Fort Lewis and Colorado Christian, respectively. The regular season tips November 4 as Saint Mary’s comes to town. Nov. 7, the Cowgirls host Long Beach State.

The Cowgirls’ first road contest of the non-conference comes with a three-game road trip beginning Nov. 11 at UT-Arlington. The 14th features a trip to face Santa Clara while North Dakota will be the opponent Nov. 21 in Grand Forks.

The Nov. 25 contest against Chadron State will be the annual Education Game tipping off at 11 a.m., in the AA. The month of November closes with a home contest against South Dakota on the 29th.

The non-conference closes with a pair of December contests on the road. The Cowgirls will travel to face Colorado Dec. 7 and then close with a Dec. 14 game at Minnesota.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
