“The divers have worked hard this year to prepare themselves for Zone Championships,” diving coach Mark Murdock said. “The expectation for us as a team is to be competitive and challenge some of the best divers in the nation. Zone championships are a great stepping stone for us to prepare for next season.”

As mentioned, five Wyoming student-athletes are set to dive. Alicia Gonzalez and Gabriella Haigler both qualified in a pair of events. Gonzalez will compete in 1- and 3-meter, while Haigler will go in 1-meter and platform.

Nettie Knapton and Natalie Six round out the Cowgirls at Zones. Knapton will take part in the platform competition, and Six will participate in the 1-meter event.

Payton Lee is the lone Cowboy at Zones. He’s set to compete in platform.

The competition begins with women’s 3-meter and men’s 1-meter being contested Monday. Women’s platform and men’s 3-meter go Tuesday, and women’s 1-meter and men’s platform are slated for Wednesday.
