Former Cowboy WR Ayden Eberhardt Inks With Ottawa
LARAMIE -- Ayden Eberhardt has a new address.
After spending the first three years of his Canadian Football League career in British Columbia, the former Wyoming wideout recently inked a 2-year deal with the Ottawa Redblacks, where he will join former college teammate CJ Coldon.

Eberhardt, a Loveland, Colo., product, is coming off a 2025 campaign for the BC Lions where he hauled in 45 passes for 863 yards and four touchdowns in 18 regular-season outings. Three times he eclipsed the 100-yard mark through the air, including a 120-yard performance on just three catches in a road win at Hamilton last August.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound receiver racked up 639 yards on 41 grabs the previous season. He also found the end zone twice.
Eberhardt didn't hear his name called in the 2022 NFL Draft after suffering a devastating knee injury late in his senior season. During his time in Laramie, he finished with 50 receptions for 764 yards and two touchdowns, both coming in 2019.
The now 27-year-old was having a career season in 2021, snagging 21 balls for 298 yards in just eight games.
His best single-game outing came during the 2020 COVID-19-shortened season when he torched rival Colorado State for 132 yards on seven catches, including a long of 56 in a 34-24 setback inside Canvas Stadium. That was Eberhardt's lone 100-yard game during his college career.
Other former Cowboys on CFL rosters are: WR - Ayir Asante (Edmonton), NT - Gavin Meyer (Edmonton), LB - Connor Shay (Winnipeg) and CB - Robert Priester (Toronto).
Former Wyoming defensive lineman Corey Mace is the current head coach of the Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders.
