Lee, only the fourth Wyoming athlete to be named a MPSF athlete of the week following the Cowboy swim and dive team’s return to the conference, won the award after his performance at the dual meets against Air Force, Denver and LSU, last weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo.

At the meet, Lee won both the 500- and 1,000-yard Freestyle in season-best altitude-adjusted times. He would also finish second in the 200-yard Butterfly and sixth in the 200-yard Freestyle.

Lee is undefeated in the 500-yard Freestyle and has won five events in dual meets this season.

Other Cowboy swimmers named MPSF athlete of the week were Brandon Fischer in 2011 and Adam Kalms and Ethan Griffel in 2012-13.
MPSF

Wyoming men’s swim and dive joined the MPSF in the 2025-26 season after a move from the WAC. Wyoming was joined by Air Force and UNLV in the transition this year.
This is the Cowboys’ second stint in the league, after previously competing from 2011-13.
