Wyoming WR Caleb Merritt, YMCA Partner for Fundraising Effort
LARAMIE -- University of Wyoming wide receiver Caleb Merritt has joined forces with the YMCA for an inspiring fundraising effort.
Their goal is to raise $3,000 to provide access to sports programming for underserved youth in Southeast Wyoming. This meaningful campaign will be ongoing until Nov. 25, and all funds collected will benefit families and youth accessing sports programs through the Cheyenne YMCA.
“I want to use my platform as a student-athlete to do what I can to support Wyoming’s youth and families,” Merritt said. “Sports have been instrumental in my success, and I want to ensure every young person has the same opportunities as I’ve had.”
Caleb Merritt, a redshirt freshman wide receiver originally from St. Louis, is a Business Marketing major who excelled academically, earning a place on the University of Wyoming Dean's List last semester. In addition to his academic achievements, he is the founder and CEO of 1 More Rep, a football training and consulting firm.

The Cheyenne YMCA provides youth sports programs to more than a thousand children and teens each year, teaching the fundamentals of sports and sportsmanship. One-third of these young athletes receive financial assistance to have access to Y programs.
