Pair of Cowboys Set to Compete in Thunderbolt Invitational
LARAMIME -- The University of Wyoming men’s golf team will have representation at the 2024 Thunderbolt Invitational. Brody Leid and Damon Vilkauskas will take aim at the three-day tournament, beginning Sunday.
The 54-hole competition is being held at Sterling Grove Golf + Country Club in Surprise, Arizona. The 2024 edition is the third annual running of the event.
The field is comprised of collegiate players who’re ranked anywhere from 200-400 in the WAGR rankings, PING second-, third and honorable mention All-Americans, AJGA second-team and honorable mention All-Americans and any special invitations.

Leid and Vilkauskas have started all five fall tournaments this season. Each of them is coming off their strongest performances of the year, both placing in the top 35 of the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in early November.
Wyoming is back on the course as a team in early February. The Pokes are taking part in the Arizona N.I.T. from Feb. 4-6.
