Wyoming Cowboys in the NFL: Week 18
LARAMIE -- The National Football League’s regular season came to a close Sunday.
A pair of former University of Wyoming student-athletes advanced to the playoffs with their respective organizations, while a handful of others closed the book on their 2024-25 stat line.
Josh Allen is the most notable former Poke who’ll be suiting up in the playoffs. He played one snap Sunday to extend his consecutive-games-played streak to 115.
Allen, in the regular season, was 307-for-483 for 3,731 yards with 28 touchdowns and six interceptions. He added 531 yards on 102 carries with 12 scores. The Bills, who finished 13-4, will host Denver on Sunday during Wild Card Weekend.
Below is a list of the other former Wyoming Cowboys and how they finished the regular season in Week 18.
Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Wingard saved his best for last in the Jaguars’ 26-23 overtime loss at Indianapolis. He racked up season-high and team-high 10 tackles and one pass defended. Wingard finished the season with 15 tackles and four passes defended after missing the first half of the season with injury. Jacksonville ended up 4-13.
Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints
Granderson enjoyed one of his better games in the Saints’ 27-19 loss at Tampa Bay. He logged five tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defended. For the season, Granderson registered 61 tackles, 5.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, one forced fumble, two passes defended and 13 quarterback hits. New Orleans finished the year at 5-12.
Tashaun Gipson, San Francisco 49ers
Gipson put together a decent game in the 49ers’ 47-24 loss at Arizona. He recorded three tackles. For the season, Gipson had six tackles, and one pass defended after missing the first half of the season with suspension. San Francisco ended the year at 6-11.

Chad Muma, Jacksonville Jaguars
Muma found his way back into the stat book in the Jaguars’ 26-23 overtime loss at Indianapolis. He made one tackle. Muma completed the season with 32 tackles. Jacksonville finished at 4-13.
Frank Crum, Denver Broncos
Crum didn’t play due to injury in the Broncos’ 38-0 win over Kansas City. For the season, he has played in six games, participating in 33 snaps with 24 of those occurring on special teams. Denver punched its ticket to the playoffs, moving to 10-7 with the win Sunday. The Broncos travel to Buffalo for Wild Card Weekend.
Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals
Wilson was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury prior to Week 14. For the season, Wilson recorded 104 tackles, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, four quarterback hits and one pass defended. Cincinnati ended at 9-8.
Marcus Epps, Las Vegas Raiders
Epps’ season came to an end in Week 3. He tore his ACL after a 10-tackle effort. Epps finished the season with 19 tackles and one tackle for loss. Las Vegas finished at 4-13.
Treyton Welch, New Orleans Saints
Welch participated on the Saints’ practice squad this season.
Xazavian Valladay, New Orleans Saints
This former Wyoming running back, who spent his final collegiate season at Arizona State, will re-sign with the Saints this offseason, according to a post on X.
