Reynolds Earns Second Field Athlete of the Week Honor This Season
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., – Senior thrower Daniel Reynolds was named the Men’s Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week for the second time in as many meets, announced Tuesday by the conference office.

After over a month away from competition, Reynolds maintained a personal-best performance in the weight throw. In his penultimate attempt at the Bobcat Challenge in Bozeman, Mont., he rebroke his school and Mountain West record with a throw of 77’ 8.75” (23.69 meters), good for the No. 6 mark in the nation this season.
This is Reynolds' first time winning two conference awards in one season. Previously, he won the Field Athlete of the Week award on Jan. 30 in the 2024 indoor season, April 16 in the 2024 outdoor season and Dec. 10 in this indoor season.
Reynolds and the rest of the team will travel to Boulder, Colo., this weekend for the Colorado Invitational on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
