LARAMIE -- The University of Wyoming is still alive in the NFL playoffs. Former Wyoming quarterback, Josh Allen, and Buffalo held on for a 27-25 victory over Baltimore in the Divisional Round.

Sunday night’s game was perfectly built for a guy who used to sling it all over the High Plains. It was cold and snowy in Orchard Park, and while that may have tempered the stat line, it didn’t keep Allen from being effective.

He finished the game 16-for-22 for 127 yards. Allen was a workhorse on the ground, carrying it 10 times for 20 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Bills advance to the AFC Championship for the second time in Allen’s tenure. They did so in 2021, as well, where they fell at Kansas City, 38-24.

Buffalo will, once again, travel to play the top-seeded Chiefs on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The Bills defeated Kansas City during the regular-season, 30-21, in Buffalo.

Allen threw for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns during the regular season. He tossed just six interceptions. Through two playoff games, the California native has completed nearly 75% of his throws while amassing 399 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Allen has also tacked on 66 rushing yards and a pair of scores on just 18 attempts.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
